Once your interview or recorded session is completed, it will automatically appear under the specifci Study / Project in **User Interviews**.

Open the relevant study and click the **Play** button on the session you want to review. 

This opens the video playback, where you can replay recordings, review transcripts, create highlights, add notes, organize insights, and export your research data.

## **Video Playback**

The video playback screen brings together the tools needed to review individual research sessions.

Here you can:

- Replay participant recordings
- Review AI-generated transcripts and Tags
- Manually Tag recordings
- Create video clips for key moments
- Add markers and notes
- Capture research observations
- View moderator and observer conversations and conversations between moderator and participant(s)
- View highlights using Topic Anchors
- Download recordings and transcripts
- Share important findings

The video player allows you to review the participant session while analyzing research findings.

You can:

- Play or pause the recording
- Skip forward or backward
- Control the playback speed
- Switch Audio channels in case translator(s) was present during the Session.
- View participant screen recordings together with webcam
- Enter full-screen mode
- Navigate through important timestamps using the timeline

## **Summary**

The **Summary** tab provides an AI-generated overview of your research session.

It helps you quickly understand:

- Key discussion points
- Major participant feedback
- Overall session themes
- Important observations

This offers a high-level recap before diving into the detailed transcript or recording.

## **Transcript**

The **Transcript** tab provides the complete conversation from your session.

Features include:

- AI-generated transcript with timestamps
- AI-generated auto-tagging
- Speaker identification
- Click any timestamp to jump directly to that point in the recording
- Search within the transcript
- Filter transcript content
- Translate transcripts
- Edit transcript text when needed

This makes it easy to locate specific participant responses without manually searching through the video.

## **Topic Anchors**

Topic Anchors are like chapters in a book. They automatically organize the conversation transcript into meaningful distinct  sections. Each Topic Anchor groups related transcript segments into themes, making long interview recordings easier to navigate.

Click any Topic Anchor to jump directly to that discussion in the recording.

## **Video Clips**

Create short video clips from important moments in your session for presentations or stakeholder sharing.

To create a clip:

- Click the **Clip** icon below the video player.
- Select the start and end timestamps.Enter a clip name.
- Optionally add tags.Click **Save Clip**.
- Your saved clips appear in the **Clips** panel on the right.

From the Clips panel you can:

- Preview clips.
- Organize important moments.
- Share clips with your team.

Clips are also visible in the Analysis Space.

### **Manage Clips**

Click the **More Options (⋮)** menu on any saved clip to access additional actions.

Available options include:

- **Tag for Analysis** – Add tags to categorize your clip for easier filtering and analysis.
- **Share** – Generate a shareable link that can be sent to teammates or stakeholders.
- **Download** – Download the individual video clip to your local device.
- **Edit** – Update the clip name or modify clip details.
- **Delete** – Permanently remove the clip from the session.These actions help you organize and manage important research moments more efficiently.

## **Feed**

The **Feed** is your research notebook that captures everything during the session in a timeline of the session. Feed contains Bookmark, timestamped notes from all note-takers, observers, moderators, annotations, etc. Review it to capture observations, usability findings, participant behaviours, and research insights throughout the session. Each entry is automatically linked to its timestamp, allowing you to quickly jump back to the related moment in the recording.

## **Markers**

Markers allow researchers to bookmark important moments during playback and insert a note at an exact point in the video.

To add a Marker:

- Open the **Markers** tab.
- Click **Add a Marker**.
- Pause the recording at the desired timestamp.
- Enter your note or observation. Optionally, add tags.
- Click **Save Note**.

Markers appear in both the timeline and the Markers panel, making it easy to revisit key moments later.

## **Chat Log**

The **Chat Log** displays all messages exchanged during the session.

You can review:

- Moderator conversations with Participants
- Discussions among Moderators, Observers and translators.
- Time-stamped Chat history.

This provides additional context alongside the recording and transcript.

## **Download Session Recording**

You can download session recordings, video clips, or transcripts at any time.

1. Open the session you want to download.
2. Click **Download** in the top-right corner.
3. Choose one of the available tabs:
  1. **Download Media** – Download the complete session recording or any clips created during analysis.
  2. **Download Transcript** - Download the session transcript in your preferred format.
4. Select the file(s) you want to download.
5. Click **Download**.

### **Download Media**

The **Download Media** tab allows you to download the video recordings available for the session.Available media may include:**Screen Recording (.mp4)** – The complete recording of the participant's shared screen for the entire session.**Saved Clips (.mp4)** – Individual video clips created during analysis. Any clips you have saved will appear in this list and can be downloaded separately without downloading the full recording.**Note:** The clips available here are only those that have been created and saved from the **Clips** section during session analysis.

### **Download Transcript**

Select the **Download Transcript** tab to download the session transcript in your preferred format.

|  |  |
| --- | --- |
| **File Type** | **Description** |
| **.txt** | Plain text version of the complete transcript. Ideal for reading or editing. |
| **.pdf** | Formatted transcript suitable for sharing, printing, or archiving. |
| **.csv** | Transcript exported in spreadsheet format with timestamps and speaker information for further analysis in Excel or Google Sheets. |
| **.srt** | Subtitle file containing timestamps and dialogue for use as video captions or subtitles. |

After selecting the required transcript file(s), click **Download** to save them to your device.

## **Share Findings**

Use the **Share** button to share important research findings with teammates or stakeholders.You can share:Session recordingsClipsResearch insightsThis makes collaboration easier without requiring others to navigate the full recording
