UXArmy has released a new AI Summary feature to help speed up your analysis or get a quick view of insights based on participant’s overall sentiment.


The AI Summary feature is available exclusively for:

- Unmoderated Usability Testing **with recordings**
- Verbal feedback in **English**


It generates quick summaries of user tests and verbal feedback, providing AI-driven insights that include:

- Overall Summary
- Sentiment Analysis
- Key Findings and Recommendations


AI Summaries can be generated at both** test **and **individual response** level.


> ℹ️ If a participant does not provide verbal feedback, sentiment will not be identified for that response.



### <span style="color: #0747a6">**AI Summary (Test Level)**</span>


The AI Summary at test level provides you with a brief recap of participants’ responses. 


You are given a holistic view of the collective user feedback across multiple test participants, providing a clear understanding of overall user sentiment and insights.


To access your AI Summary, follow these steps:


- Step 1: Navigate to the <span style="color: #0747a6">Test Overview</span> page, where you can find the AI Summary on the top left of the dashboard


- Step 2: Click ‘<span style="color: #0747a6">Read all</span>’ to view the entire AI Summary of the test

Once you click into the AI Summary, you will find a synopsis of the test that is generated by AI. 


Right below the synopsis, there is an Overall Sentiment scale, whereby all the participants’ responses will be rated based on 3 classifications: Negative, Neutral or Positive.

The AI Summary also includes Key Findings and Recommendations. Each key finding is backed by explanations derived from participants’ responses. There will be a detailed breakdown of feedback, grouped by sentiment.

Hover over a participant’s User ID to view their demographic details, and the time they took to take the Test.

### <span style="color: #0747a6">**Resummarizing Responses**</span>


After viewing the AI Summary of the test, you have the option of re-generating the AI Summary.


There are 2 ways you can do it:

1. Click ‘<span style="color: #0747a6">Resummarize</span>’ on the Test Overview dashboard

2. Click ‘<span style="color: #0747a6">Resummarize</span>’ at the top right on the full AI Summary of the test

> ℹ️ The previous AI Summary will be replaced.



### <span style="color: #0747a6">**AI Summary of Individual Responses**</span>


AI Summary is also available at the Individual level.


Step 1: To view each participant’s response, navigate to ‘<span style="color: #0747a6">Response Overview</span>’.

Step 2: Click on the Play button / ‘<span style="color: #0747a6">View recording</span>’ to access each participant’s video playback.

Step 3: Under each participant’s video playback, find the AI-generated summary of their response under the ‘<span style="color: #0747a6">Summary</span>’ tab.

What you’ll see:

- Overall Response Summary: A recap of that specific user’s feedback.
- Sentiment:** **A visual representation categorizing the feedback as Positive, Neutral, or Negative.
- Key Findings and Recommendations: A detailed breakdown grouped by sentiment, featuring AI-generated insights and supporting direct user quotes.
  - Beside each quote, there is a timestamp which will take you to the exact moment in the video playback upon clicking



### <span style="color: #0747a6">**General Tips / Recommendations for AI Summary**</span>

- Silent feedback isn’t included: Only verbal feedback in English is analyzed by the AI.
- What AI Summary doesn’t analyze: Our AI feature does not process videos or text-based survey results currently, focusing solely on verbal feedback provided during the usability test.
- Timestamps and Quotes: Each AI summary includes timestamps and direct quotes from users to help you trace the context behind specific feedback.
