> ℹ️ This guide will provide an overview of how to create an Unmoderated Usability Test on UXArmy

### <span style="color: #0747a6">**An Overview of Steps:**</span>

1. Define your research goal i.e. what you want to learn from your users.
2. Create a new test
3. Select the type of unmoderated tests - Advanced or Figma Focused.
4. Select the device (Computer, Phone or Tablet)
5. Select the asset type (prototype, website, mobile app) and add link to those.
6. Set up the Tasks to be completed.
7. Add different Task types as needed:
  - Prototype / Website / App tasks
  - First-click, 5-second, time-limited tasks
  - Open questions, rating scales, matrix, ranking, yes/no, etc.
8. Define Task Success Criteria (e.g., completion time, destination URL, a preset answer)
9. Add other elements for your participants:
  - Welcome message
  - Instructions for each task
  - 'Thank you' message
10. [Optional] Add Screener to filter participants
11. [Optional] Enable SUS (System Usability Scale) for usability scoring
12. Configure test settings:

- Task specific setting
- Time limits
- Task order / logic
- Recording settings (screen, audio, cam)

13. Preview the test. Also do a Dry run on a real device to validate the test before launch with participants. Dry run is a way to test run your work so that you fix problems if any before your participants face those.
14. Invite participants (Own testers or UXArmy panel)
15. Check credit requirements and usage (Pooled credits usage is based on test type)
16. Launch your test

As responses come in, you’ll see real-time usability metrics, video recordings along with **AI-powered summaries **of your test results.

You can **create Highlight reels, add Annotations (Markers), and share results page via a public view link** (this link does not require login).
