## **Step 2: Add Your Prototype**

### **Before Importing Your Prototype & Launching the Test**

Ensure you've optimized your prototype for testing to keep a smoother prototype importing process and user testing experience.

To test your prototype in an unmoderated test, select “Prototype” from the task type menu. You will be asked to add your prototype or select a previously imported prototype from the Library.

*Preview Prototype URL*

Once you have added your prototype link, click on the preview URL option to make sure your prototype is loading correctly and appears exactly as intended. This helps you verify that the starting screen and interactions are working before sharing it with participants.

## **Step 3: Create a prototype task**

- Once the prototype is added, you need to guide users.
- In the Task Instructions section, write clear instructions

**Example:-**

Imagine you are using this app for the first time.
Explore the interface and try to move to the next step.
Tap anywhere you think will help you continue.

Avoid telling users exactly where to click.

## **Step 4: Set starting screen**

- For non Figma prototypes, UXArmy does not auto map screens.
- The prototype link you added will act as the starting screen.
Make sure the link opens the correct first screen of your flow.

## **Step 5: Define success criteria**

- This step is optional but recommended.
- On the right panel, go to Task Success Criteria
Select Success URL
- Paste the expected destination screen URL
This helps track whether users successfully complete the task.
- If you do not have a separate URL for screens, you can keep default criteria.

## **Step 6: Add supporting tasks**

Use Add Task buttons to add more tasks or survey questions.

## **Step 7: Update welcome message**

- Edit the welcome message to set expectations.

**Example**

“During the study please share your honest feedback.
There are no right or wrong answers. Just interact naturally.”

## **Step 8: Update thank you message**

- Edit the thank you message.

**Example**

“Thank you for participating in our user study.
Your feedback will help us improve the product.

## **Step 9: Preview your test**

- Click the preview icon to test the full flow.
- Check the following
Prototype loads correctly
Interactions are working
Navigation is smooth
