If you only wish to receive responses from people who meet certain selection criteria (in addition to age, gender, country), you can add screener questions to your test. This screener will be shown to anyone responding to the test, regardless of whether they’re UXArmy Panelists or your testers.

UXArmy Screener supports **Logic and Quotas**.

You can add up to 10 questions in a screener. 

We recommend limiting up to 5 or less screener questions to avoid becoming too selective and missing out on receiving any responses at all. The specificity of your respondent profile may affect the length of time required to collect test responses.

This screener is shown to both:

- UXArmy Panel participants
- Your own self-recruited testers / customers who you invite

You can use screener questions alongside basic targeting such as age, gender, and country.

## **Turn on Screener**

From the test creation page, enable the **Screener** toggle in the left panel.

Once enabled, a screener section will appear where you can create qualification questions.

## **Add Screener Questions**

Click **Add Screener Question** to create questions for participants. The more specific your criteria, the longer it may take to collect responses.

## **Question Types**

### **Single Select**

Participants can choose **one answer only**.

Best for:

- Employment status
- Country
- Age range
- Do you shop online weekly?

Example:  
 How often do you order groceries online?

- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Never

### **Multi Select**

Participants can choose **multiple answers**.

Best for:

- Devices used
- Apps used
- Shopping categories
- Interests or habits

Example:  
 Which grocery apps have you used recently?

- GrabMart
- Foodpanda
- Shopee
- Lazada
- Others

## **Add Options**

Use **Add Option** to create answer choices for each question.

Each option can be marked as:

### **Accept**

Participants selecting this answer qualify to continue.

Example:  
*Owns a smartphone → Accept*

### **Reject**

Participants selecting this answer are screened out.

Example:  
*Never shops online → Reject*

## **Screener Logic**

Open the **Logic** tab to control what happens after each question.

Enable or disable screener logic rules which you may want to setup.

### **Jump To**

Choose where participants go next.

Options include:

- **Next Question** – moves to the next screener question
- **Disqualification Screen** – ends screening if criteria are not met

Example:  
If participant selects “No smartphone” → send to Disqualification Screen

## **Recruitment Quotas**

Use the **Quotas** tab to control how many participants are accepted from specific groups.

Click **Add Quota** to create limits. You can set:

### **Quota Name**

Internal label for the quota.

Example: Female Users Age 25–34

### **Quota Limit**

Maximum number of accepted participants for that group.

Example: 20 participants

### **Add Conditions**

For Example, Create rules using:

- Question (Select a Screener question)
- Is / Is not
- Options (from previous Screener questions)

Example:  
Gender is *Female*  
Age is *25–34 years*

When the quota of 20 is full, additional matching participants can be blocked or redirected to a Quota full URL.

## **Preview the Screener**

Use the **Preview** icon at the top right to test the screener flow before going live.

This helps confirm:

- Correct questions
- Correct accept/reject answers
- Logic flow works properly
- Quotas are set correctly

## **Example Screener Setup**

Question 1: Do you use grocery delivery apps?

- Yes → Accept
- No → Reject

Question 2: Which apps do you use? (Multi Select)

- GrabMart
- Foodpanda
- Shopee

Quota:  
10 participants who use GrabMart

Those participants who do not use GrabMart will not be shown the tasks / questions specific to users of GrabMart.
