While reviewing participant recordings, you can add **Markers **(also called notes or annotations) at specific timestamps and apply **tags** to organize observations for easier analysis.

These Notes are then available inside the **Analysis → All Notes & Text** section, where you can review all participant notes, markers, and tagged items in one place.

This is useful during video playback for:

- Capturing your thoughts on issues and marking important moments
- Grouping findings with custom and in-built Tags
- Collaborating with team members during analysis

## **Adding a Marker During Video Playback**

To add a note at a specific timestamp:

1. Open the participant recording from the **Results** tab
2. Pause the video at the moment you want to capture
3. Click **Add a Marker** from the right-side panel or marker section
4. A note panel will appear showing the selected timestamp
5. Enter your observation in the **Description** field
6. Click **Add Tags** to assign one or more tags
7. Click **Save Note**

The Marker will be saved to that timestamp in the playback timeline.

## **Adding Tags to Notes**

Tags help categorize findings such as:

- Navigation
- Task Fail
- Discoverability
- Efficiency
- Readability
- Info Overload

To apply tags:

1. While creating a marker, click **Add Tags**
2. Select one or more tags from the list
3. Save the note

You can use Tags later for filtering and reporting.

## **Viewing Notes in Analysis**

After saving Markers, go to:

**Analysis → All Notes & Text**

Analysis tab shows the Analysis Space. Here you can view:

- Manually created **Markers**
- AI-generated **Transcriptions**
- Tagged observations
- Notes across all participants

This gives a centralised place to review insights.

## **Playback Timeline Indicators**

During video playback, markers appear on the timeline as clickable points.

You can use them to:

- Jump to important moments
- Review observations quickly
- Compare multiple participant behaviors
