It’s fun earning pocket money participating in user studies, but remember that this is a serious business for companies. Your feedback is used to decide the future of their products. Thus, we request you to be sincere in giving feedback and take the test when you are able to focus, in a quiet environment without disturbances. As a UserAdvocate Community member, you must follow our Code of Conduct.


### <span style="color: #0747a6">**Account & Profile**</span>

- You **must be at least 18 and above**
- You shall only have one UserAdvocate account
- You shall not share your UserAdvocate account with others, and should not let anyone take a test on your behalf
- You will keep your UserAdvocate profile information up to date
- You shall provide honest demographic information during testing when asked – if you are not comfortable sharing such information, it is ok to withdraw and abort the test


<span style="color: #0747a6">Why is it important to give honest demographic information?</span>

When companies create a product, they target a certain profile of people who share common traits. As most products are tailored to specific profiles, companies are only interested to obtain feedback from that particular group of people. Hence, there is emphasis on providing accurate information about yourself.


### <span style="color: #0747a6">**User Experience Testing**</span>

- Answer screener questions honestly and shall not try to provide false information in an attempt to qualify for a test.
- Do not take any tests when traveling outside the country listed in your profile
- We encourage you to give your honest and constructive feedback, but you must avoid using obscene, inappropriate, or offensive language, images, or communication
- Ensure that your feedback and video recordings are appropriate for viewing by the public – recordings of your screen and audio (what you said) would be provided to our clients for their business use
- Do not engage in other activities and have conversations with others during testing (Irrelevant remarks are confusing to people watching your recording)
- Do NOT rush through a test; if you do, most likely your submission will get rejected
- You are not allowed to copy or take screenshots of any part of a test during testing.
- You are required to keep ALL UX testing information confidential and are bound by any non-disclosure agreement (NDA) you have accepted in the user study
- You should never share your sensitive personal information during testing, even if requested. (e.g., credit card number, home address, sexual life/orientation, etc.)
