When participating in a test, sometimes there are instructions that require you to navigate to another app outside of UserAdvocate, and switching back in order to advance to the next test.


We have noticed that some participants have tapped on the wrong buttons during the tests, such as:

- Tapping on the red recording indicator and accidentally stopping the recording
- Accidentally closing the UserAdvocate app

In order to successfully navigate between apps when asked during the test, similar to the example above, you should be switching between apps between UserAdvocate and the require application.

For iOS, to see all your open apps in the App Switcher, do one of the following:

- *On an iPhone with Face ID:* Swipe up from the bottom of the screen, then pause in the center of the screen
- *On an iPhone with a Home button:* Double-click the Home button


For Android, to see all your open apps in the App Switcher, do one of the following:

- *On an Android with a physical recent tab button that looks like three horizontal lines: *Tap on the button to see all your recent apps, then pause in the center of the screen
- *On an Android with Gestures switched on in the Settings: *Swipe up from the bottom of the screen but pause about a third of the way up the screen
