### **What is A Similarity Matrix?**
A Similarity Matrix is a qualitative tool that represents the percentage of users sorting similar cards into the same category. It provides researchers a quick insight into the number of cards that your users think were strongly related and grouped together. This method is ideal when researchers are finding the cards belonging to the same cluster, no matter which categories they were sorted in.
> ℹ️ The Similarity is calculated by the equation:
> ℹ️ **(the time of the testers placing the two cards in the same category * 100) / total number of testers**
### **How to Read A Similarity Matrix**
Each cell shows how many testers think the two cards are related to each other. For example, the first cell on the first row is for “X3 Data” and “DataMore” two cards. The first cell on the second row is for “X3 Data” and “Global SMS Pack” two cards. The second cell on the second row is for “DataMore” and “Global SMS Pack” two cards.
Card pairs that have a higher percentage will be clustered along the edges of the matrix. Cells in higher percentages are in darker shades and indicate a strong relationship between the two cards.
Each circle cell on the graph represents N % of the testers who feel that the two cards belong in the same category. For example, the graph below shows 8 out of all the testers, which is 47% of the testers in your test, think that “SIM Only Plans” & “Prepaid SIM Card” these two cards that belong in the same category.

**Where to Access the Similarity Matrix?**
In your Test Report,
- Click on “Analysis” in the left column
- Choose the “Similarity Matrix” tab
